So I suggest all you ladies to head on down to JOE grab an eyeliner for $6.00 bucks! In the end you win, you get a great product for pretty much half of what you would pay with competitors!

Product Review: Tarte Eco Cheek Natural Cheek Stain and Rise and Shine Lip Stain/Gloss!

Tarte Eco Cheek Stain (Coral with a Touch of Shimmer)
Product Bio:
Achieve long lasting, buildable color with a completely “goof proof” application – unlike traditional stains these will not streak, leak or drip. It also gives you about 15-20 seconds of blending time before it dries down for a natural finish that’s pure perfection! Cheek stains are free of alcohol so they won't dry out your skin and oil so they won't clog your pores. They are infused with the tarte t5 super fruit complex™ for a healthy dose of natural antioxidants.

The Review:

I love Tarte cosmetics cheek stains I have been a fan for awhile, so I love it when the add more colors to their FAB collection! Personally I am a coral, peach cheeked wearing girl almost daily! I love the look peach/coral gives off on my skin. If you love corals you will love this cheek stain. Tarte promotes long wearing stains and they really do last all day which is key now that summer is arriving!

Rise and Shine Natural Lipstain and lip enhancing gloss
Product Bio
The gel-based lip tint imparts a natural rosy glow that stays all day, while the lip-enhancing gloss gives the appearance of fuller lips, for a pout that’s pretty and polished. So even after gloss wears away the lip tint remains!

The Review:
What can I say I love stains especially berry ones, it last all day long and the color is vibrant! I used the gloss side but for me I just liked the color I naturally have voluptuous lips so i know I wouldn't have noticed if they were enhanced, But I'm sure it delivers on what it says!

You can purchase these items at
or your local Sephora!

New Fashion Market: Portobello East Opening July 26th!

Fashionistas and art aficionados get ready… Launching July 26th, Portobello East fashion and art market will be the new hot spot to find original clothing, accessories, jewelry and art from local designers and artists. “The market is sexy, smart, funky and individual; there are dress makers, handbag designers, jewelers and boutiques that make fashion accessible - particularly Toronto designers” says founder Carlie Smith.

Held on the last Sunday of every month at the Fermenting Cellar in the Distillery District, Portobello East will feature over 80 talented designers and artisans. This high fashion market boasts stylish items for everybody; bold graphic street wear by Judy Black ( will pop vibrant colour and one-of-a-kind originality into your wardrobe. For the more refined, design by Sui Generis (right) (www. provides beautifully stylish pieces for a cosmopolitan look. Clothing isn’t the only thing available at Portobello East; attendees can indulge their love for jewellery, art and other handcrafted items. But don’t expect to find doilies and tea cozies here, creative creations from vendors like Fish on Fridays ( will change your associations with the word “craft” forever.

Portobello East was born from Portobello West, which Smith created in August 2006, and was inspired by the famous artisan markets of London, England. After 2 and a half years the Vancouver market has continued its journey East taking over Calgary and now expanding to Toronto. “Toronto is the ideal home for the market; Portobello West has been overwhelmingly received by both the design community and the public and we know that Portobello East will soon be a favourite monthly destination for Torontonians.” Smith says. Having left Portobello West in the capable hands of her sister; Smith is excited about her relocation to Toronto and is looking forward to working with such a vibrant community.

There is still space available for designers that want to get involved. Local designers who want to showcase their work can contact

Portobello East is open on the last Sunday of every month from 12pm to 6pm March to November with a special 2-day holiday market in December at the Fermenting Cellar at the Distillery District (55 Mill Street), $5 admission for the public (children 12 and under get in free!)
